Simon has spent over 40 years within the insurance claims industry working for Insurers and Loss Adjusters. In roles that have taken him to various parts of the world, Simon has acquired a range of skills that he blends with respected diplomacy to ensure that in his role as a Consultant he is able to combine technical skills with an ability to build and enhance relationships. Simon’s particular areas of expertise include:
Simon started his insurance life in 1979 when he joined an insurance company in the City of London. He subsequently worked for both UK and international adjusting practices. Simon initially trained as a general adjuster and took the accountancy and liability routes through the CILA exams. Simon developed his reputation handling the financial aspects of fire claims. He more latterly specialised in complex liability losses encompassing EL, PL and Products liability claims.
Simon has experience of working in the UK, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
Having built long standing relationships with a number of Insurers and third party administrators, Simon is often called upon to resolve difficult matters where an ability to build trust and empathy are as essential as the need to provide an accurate technical response.
In 1993 Simon featured in the Cutting Edge documentary “The Claims Men” and subsequently appeared on a number radio programmes following surge events.
As well as working as an Adjuster Simon has been a Manager, an Area and Main Board Director and served as Business Development Director for two UK Adjusting businesses.
